Easy Steps to Extend the Life Of Your
Volvo
- Change your oil and oil filter
regularly, every 10.000 kilometres.
This is the #1 one maintenance activity
that will extend
the life of your car's engine. Engine
oil gets dirty and wears out your Volvo
engine parts.
- Check and change your Volvo air
filter, this will also help your fuel
mileage. Air filters get clogged and and
can rob your Volvo engine of power.
- Change your fuel filter about every
30,000 kilometres. (2yrs)
- Change your spark plugs about every
30,000 kilometres also.
- Once a month check all your fluid
levels, oil, transmission, coolant and
steering fluid. Also check deterioration
of belts and hoses. Also look to see
that the battery connections
are tight and corrosion free.
- Change your Volvo oxygen sensor
every 100,000 kilometres.
